We have a fantastic team of dedicated, passionate and interesting individuals at Myles Wellbeing. Marcus joined the team in May 2022 and has been a fantastic addition to the team since day one. As well as bringing a wealth of experience to us, he's also had us wearing strange outfits, discussing our favourite 'drinking vessels' and doing show and tells with the most bizarre items in our houses.

Let's get to know Marcus a little better:

Give us a brief intro to yourself?

I’m Marcus a midlander now living in Manchester. I’ve been described as outgoing, reliable, smiley and loud to name a few things. I’ve always had a passion for sports and I’ve pretty much had a crack at everything, I tried even ballet when I was a kid, the guys on Blue Peter made it seem much more up my street than it was! Outside of work, and sports, my favourite thing to do is spend time with my friends and family, for me there’s no greater pleasure in life!

What do you do at Myles Wellbeing?

I head up sales and partnerships at Myles and also assist with the marketing efforts. On a day to day, I’m liaising with clients, going through demos, onboarding new customers and working with the team to provide insight on what the market thinks of our platform to ensure we can build exactly what the people want!

What do you enjoy about working at Myles Wellbeing?

The people. Toby and Mike have built a team where we all feel so confident and willing to challenge each other, challenge ourselves and collaborate to be the best we can be. There’s no suffering in silence, the team will always pull together to help us overcome the hurdles we face as we grow the business. Not to mention the app is awesome and we have some great team socials!

What are your favourite sports or types of exercise?

I used to play a lot of rugby and football, but several knee injuries and a lack of cartilage in my knee doesn’t lend itself to a long career in those sports. Fortunately, I've always loved throwing weights around in the gym, so I still do that, and I can use my dodgy knee as an excuse to skip leg day. I’m also a keen snowboarder, started skiing when I was 2 and switched to boarding when I was 11, so I try to get to the alps at least once a year.

How do you encourage yourself to be physically active?

Our App really helps, we have my brother on our internal testing group so seeing him climb up the leaderboard is definitely an incentive to get moving. Aside from that, I feel so much better for the day when I go to the gym in the morning, start the day early, getting that endorphin hit, setting you up for the day ahead.

What are some of your favourite hobbies?

  • Drinks and events with friends
  • Weight Lifting
  • Snowboarding
  • Travelling
  • Playing a few video games, FIFA is my preference, but I do like a bit of VR too

What’s one fun fact about you?

I’ve played at Twickenham twice.

Favourite TV show or film?

It’s always sunny in Philadelphia.

Finally, does pineapple belong on a pizza?

100% it does, I love a sweet and salty combo, in fact one of my favourite pizza combos is Anchovy and pineapple - Don’t knock it till you’ve tried it!
